SMTP Email notifications on a non-standard SMTP port
My ISP recently blocked all SMTP traffic on port 25, so I no longer receive my BESR reports via e-mail. I need to change Backup Exec System Recovery 2010 to use SMTP port 587, but this is not an option in the software. I searched the registry to try and find a way to adjust it, but came up empty handed. I tried using an SMTP server of mail.server.com:587, but that didn't work. I tried changing the default SMTP port for Windows (C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\services) and that didn't work... Symantec - HELP!Solved2.7KViews0likes5CommentsSymantec System Recovery 2013 r2 sp4 & Server 2008 r2 BSOD
I am backing up a Server 2008 R2 with Symantec System Recovery 2013 r2 sp4. The image backups fine. When we do a restore we get one of the following errors BSOD stop 7b, No operating system found, etc I have found this article on Microsoft and Veritas which talks about the C:\Boot files being located inside the image file. https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.TECH125582 Within this article it talks about how it is backed up with the image of course, but when it is restored it is written twice: once by ASR Writer and then again by the image file with the end result of the GUID not matching. Here is Microsoft's explanation: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2261423 So then if the C:\Boot is located in the image file to exclude it when you do a restore of the image. Unfortunately I have no luck in trying to find out how to exclude this on a restore or even during a disk-based backup. Has anyone been able to resolve this issue? I have and currently working with Veritas but do not have a resolution. Please let me know. Thank you.2.9KViews0likes14CommentsCustum Recovery Disk: computer does not boot from disk

Boris.1.8KViews0likes10Commentssystem recovery locking RDX drive
I'm using system recovery 2013 R2 on a windows 2012 server. this backups to a NAS drive. We've been having issues since installing in June, where system recovery seems to lock the nas drive. the only way I can eject it, is to right click on the drive in computer and hit eject on the cartridge. the eject button on the rdx won't even allow a manual eject. The reason i think system recovery is the issue, is that when i eject the cartridge. system recovery notification by the clock pops up saying that the drive is now unavailable. meaning it must be looking at the drive. I was wondering if i can get it to ignore the drive some how. I have double checked my settings in system recovery and it does not include the rdx drive for the backup. any ideas737Views1like3CommentsTrying to deploy SSR 2013 R2 from server
