System state failures in pure disk
Hello All, it was windows 2008 r1 Client backup is failing with system state(completing with 64%), and getting below errors. Error: 2: resource child process: snapshot required but there is nothing to snap: no such object Error: 2: name process: unable to process 'Shadow?Copy?Components': no such object troubleshooting steps: We have been checked all writers are in stable state, But still backup is failing with system state error. can I use "Netbackup Pure Disk Storage" as a deduplication target for Backup Exec?
hi i have backup Exec 2012 sp4 Hotfix 1 with active Maintenance .( i can Upgrade to 2014) Can i use Symantec PureDisk as my Deduplication storage? PureDisk Server is Free or Should i buy License for it? What licenses should i buy? Labeling in Symantec Exec 2010
I was just wondering if it was acceptable to place an LT5 barcode label on an LT3 tape in order for it to be written on by exec, as opposed to just being able to be read. Is exec really incapable of writing to it because of it's lack of space or what? We send tapes offsite, although it hasn't happened yet in the cycle, i'm afraid we're going to have insuffecient space on too little of LT5 tapes for our backup jobs to be backuped. We have a lot of spare LT3 tapes from the last backup system we had. Thank youSolved
Puredisk data replication encryption algorithm used
Hi I’m looking for information which encryption algorithm is used for data replication between storage pools. I found out that some configuration file – topology.ini - is encrypted using AES 256 . I'm prompted to provide credentials. When provided it highlights Field of Broker Name. What should be the broker name. I have 23 remote file servers backing up to a Puredisk server here on site. I am in the process of upgrading my NBU 6.5.5 to NBU 7.0. Does anyone have any experience with NBU 7.0 dedupe? Or better yet, does anyone have any experience with Puredisk AND NBU 7 dedupe? I am adding more and more remote servers to my backups and I'm wondering if I need to quit pushing Puredisk to those remote servers if I can use NBU 7.0 to accomplish the same task? I would think NBU 7 would be the cheaper route. Does anyone have any real world experience with this?
