VERITAS DLO licensing if the user connected over VPN
Hello Everyone, I need to know that we have purchased Veritas DLO on-premise licenses. We have users connected to our network via VPN services. Can we take backup of these user devices if we have on-premise license. And what are the license requirement for BOI (backup over Internet). its an urgent query please reply fast!
Dlo7.6.1 agents stopping randomly
Hello I have a customer with 150 machines running the Dlo agents. Now and then some of the agents stop doing their job and he needs to restart them. He gets alerts concerning licenses problems. I have gathers the logs from his Dlo server with DloGather and EventViewer. Where should I look for troubleshooting this? Thanks in advance. Andrea
DLO - Desktop and Laptop Option Trial Licence
Hi, when i apply to trial licence key on DLO software says "Duplicate Licence Key. Pleease provide different licence key" i have tried to get new trial key on symantec website but again same serial sent me. i need to try this software before buy. Can you help me please.
Unable to install 5 user Desktop and Laptop option
Hello, We run Backup Exec 2010R3 on a Windows Server 2008R2 system and use a LTO4 tape drive for backup. We have installed the Windows agent on a XP system and can use that to make backups without problems. When we install the agent on a W7/64 system it does the backup scan but then it reports that a license is needed for 'protecting remote servers...', it is no server but a W7/64 system. When we try to install the included 'Desktop and laptop option' it does not want to do that because the server is not part of a domain. Is there another way to install the 5 user license for the 'Desktop and laptop' option (offline function is not needed). Thanks.DLO 7.5 Remove revisions outside new policy + Licensing Question
I've changed a policy that adds a few more exclusions as well as removes local storage of revisions (Network only backups). I'd expect to see that the local storage drop down to near zero use as well as the network storage dropping significantly as well. Test device shows: 13.24GB - Netowrk 9.27GB - Local (Excluded video file types, files over 500mb, and removed the "My Videos" folder. Which for my test user should be roughly 7GB total) After reading I have noticed that the maintenance only happens ever 24hrs, but cannot find a way to manually kick-off a 'grooming' so that I can verify that my new policies are working as expected. I'd hate to wait 24hrs each time I make a change to the system to see if it has any affect. I've set to remove deleted items after '1 days' however source files are/will not be deleted. Also, how do I see how many licenses I have and how many are available? I know what I've ordered and can do the math, but if another technician comes along they wouldn't be able to know for sure without doing a lot of investigative work.
