How to calculate SPVUs associated with a given license?
I understand how to calculate SPVUs from the below SORT link. If I were to figure out how many SPVUs are associated with a given license then how can I find that out. https://sort.veritas.com/spvu_calc I am aware that Veritas has an internal license decoding tool but not sure if that gives any clue. Basically I would like to compare installed SPVUs with required SPVUs based on Veritas SPVU calculator, in order to maintain Veritas licensing compliance and also make sure there is no waste of license. I have opened a case with Veritas, Tech Support and Customer Care looking into it for quite sometime with no luck so far. Thought of posting it here, in case I get lucky. VOM's license reporting may help in maintaining compliance but it does not show SPVUs associated with a given license.
Unable Access Second Partition After Formatting Primary Partition
I recently had fully encrypted hard disk (Toshiba mq01abd075), operating system (Windows 7 Professional), two partition. C (146 GB) and D (548 GB) and 4 GB Unallocated space. I ran the system restore for partition C, after which I was unable to access the operating system. I reinstalled the operating system partition C. I installed PGP WDE, when I entered in the program, partition D does not appear to be decrypted. Partition D appears in My Computer (0 bytes), in computer management at disk management appear 548 GB RAW. If I double click on it ask me for Format, but i've never click Yes, so the second partition was never touch after the problem.After this I reinstalled twice the OS. Now I have windows 8.1 but stil,but still I have not touch the second partition. I've tried to decrypt the drive with a few tutorials such as(WinPE and put the hard disk as second partition): http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH170574 http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH149478 Give me various errors suchs as: "Could not locate valid BGFS record. Recovey failed! Operation recover disk failed: Error code -11984 item not found" or "Disk 1 is not instrumented by bootguard" and others. I know was my fault. Please give me a solution. Futile tries to make a decision
Dear sirs. I'm an IT-manager of some <200 users, so I need some info about vomtu DLP module, which stores HTTP-POST and UPLOAD requests,before I would buy it. Now I spent a week while futilly fighting with: 1. Russian desk (call-center routes me nowhere) 2. Some unlucky secretary from ur russian office - who took my contacts, and now she's keeping silence. 3. First 7 "partners" from partners list on ur site. Those "partners" loosing their interest when they understand that I'm not gonna spend $100k for them, so I should persuade them to sell me this damn vomtu? Is there any of you, Symantec, who cares? Thank you.
Problems with NFR license certificate in My.Symantec.com
Hi We are distributors of Symantec products in Chile, and through PartnerNet, requested NFR Norton products for internal use, to access the license portal, and tried to register them, to download the software and licenses, but the certificate does not have Serial Number please tell me what is the procedure to register them and follow the procedure for its use?
