Hello Experts, We have a two node active-passive VCS 6.0 cluster running in Solaris LDOM on T4-1 servers. Two virtual interfaces (Vnet0 and Vnet1)are configured from the control domain using igb2/igb4. vnet0 and vnet1 using solaris ipmp. The cluster IP is configured as a virtual IP on top of vnet0 as its comes online as vnet0:1. Out external connectivity must happen only from Cluster virtual IP on vnet01:1, but the network team informed that no traffic coming from cluster vitual IP. The firewall only receives the packets from the host IP which was configured on vnet0. Can anyone tell me , how to configure the VCS to forward the traffic from cluster IP to only a particular destination. We have configured the resources using MutliNICB/IPMultiNICB. Hi All, I tried to bring a SG online in a node but it's not comming online. Let me explaing the issue. We did reboot of a node aixprd001 and we found that /etc/filesystem is corrupted so the SG bosinit_SG is in partial state since lot of cluster FS in not mounted. Then we corrected the entry and done the manual mout of all the FS but the SG still show the status partial so we did the bellow command. hagrp -clear bosinit_SG -all Once done the SG is in online state. For safer side we tried to offline the SG and brought it up online again but the SG failed to come online, Bellow is the only error we able find the engine_A.log file. 2014/12/17 06:49:04 VCS NOTICE V-16-1-10166 Initiating manual online of group bosinit_SG on system aixprd001 2014/12/17 06:49:04 VCS NOTICE V-16-1-10233 Clearing Restart attribute for group bosinit_SG on all nodes Please help me by providing suggestion, I will provide the output of logs if needed. We are upgrading a Solaris 9 Sparc 64 bit using SFDB2 from VxVM 4.0 MP1to 5.1SP1 using DMP. From what I understand this is a new install not upgrade. EMC has remediated that VxVM is not at the expected level. We are moving from CX to VMAX.I will be editing the sd.conf and lpfc.conf accordingly. It will be an array based migration FTS. I was wondering can we just upgrade the VxVM from the CD or do we have to uninstall/install everything (all of SFDB2). If we do, then can you help me with these steps for expediency. Here are my steps: 1) vxvm config - vxprint -th (readable format) and vxprint -m (detailed attributes) save old attributes. 2) Unmount all the VxFS mounted filesystems 3. Stop all volumes and deport db2dg. 3) vxdctl stop ( to stop vxconfigd ) 3a.) mount CD with install pkgs; copy VRTS* pkgs to /tmp/veritas_5.1install dir 4) pkgrm VRTSfsman VRTSvmman VRTSvxfs VRTSvxvm VRTSvlic - old version 5) pkgadd VRTSvlic VRTSvxvm VRTSvxfs VRTSvmman VRTSfsman - new version 6) Reboot the server 7) Do SF Veritas patching showrev -p | grep 114477-04 & (122300-10 for SF&SFDB2 only) 8) Final reboot. 9) mount filesystems 10) import db2dg 10a.) use vxupgrade to upgrade the filesystem disk layout version from version 4 or 5 to -> 6 11.) vxddladm listsupport all (libvxemc.so (EMC SYMM support) should be listed because it was embedded in install (confirm)Solved972Views1like2CommentsPatching in Sol 10 x86 server

I have a customer who is upgrading a critical SFRACclusterwith global apps and hasa question about the supportability of 6.1 Sol 10 with u8 base. Our documentation states that that 6.1 is compatible with Sol 10 update 9 onward. Does this mean a Sol 10 U9 BASE build or a kernel patch that serves u9 and higher?Their current nodes are running a base Sol10 U8 build but will be patched to get to ~u11 release…but the base still remains u8…if referring to the /etc/release file. Need some clarification on this as soon as possible. Thank you!715Views0likes3Comments
