Veritas Education Services is in the process of updating all the Veritas Certified Specialist (VCS) high-stakes certification exams. I’m very excited to announce that the first two exams available for registration are the VCS-282: Veritas NetBackup 9.1 Administrator and the VCS-283: Veritas NetBackup 9.1 and NetBackup Appliance 4.1 Administrator exams. These exams are designed to target candidates in an administrative role and measure competencies of core elements such as configuration, product administration, day-to-day monitoring, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting (diagnosis and/or repair). Upon passing either of these exams, you’ll receive your associated certification and your digital badge that is awarded through our partner company, Credly. This award counts toward the requirements for your Veritas Certified Professional (VCP) certification in Data Protection. On this page, you’ll see the passing score, the number of questions delivered on the exam, and suggested preparation. In addition, we created a Sample Exam that shows you the types of questions you’ll see on the exam and provides you with practice. I’m pleased to announce open registration for a new Veritas Education Services course on NetBackup 8.1.2 administration. If you’re new to NetBackup, or would benefit from additional insight to the platform, this 5-day course will provide you with expert instruction on NetBackup configuration and management, including hands-on lessons on the new tools offered in NetBackup 8.1.2.
