Hi, Does the latest version of Ghost Solution allow multicast imaging of UEFI/GPT Windows 10 images? If so is there a guide to setting up WinPE and its proper files for Windows Deployment Services? Any help would be much appreciated.1.9KViews1like3CommentsDLO 8 Desktop Agent does not start automatically on Windows 8.1
Hi folks, I just upgraded to DLO 8.0 because I had some troubled with 7.6 SP1 and I thought to fix them by upgrading. But the troubles keep existing: On Windows 8.1 Machines the DLO Desktop Agent won't start even though it's all installed correctly. The service is running and the agent is listed in the autostart. Yet, it does not start after logging in. I can't find any misconfiguration. If someone has an idea, please let me know. Greetings, TimSolved3.4KViews1like2CommentsDLO 7.5 SP1 on Windows 8.1
We are just starting to roll out DLO. I am running Symantec DL0 7.5 SP1 on Server 2008 R2. Running all the latest Windows and Symantec updates. We have had no issues with Windows 7, but Windows 8.1 seems to be problematic. We have one user on Windows 8.1 with Outlook 2013, they have 1 PST file 30Gb in size, and DLO is successful. We have another user with Windows 8.1 and Outlook 2013 and keep on receiving the following error "PST is in use by another application. It will retired" This user has 50 PST files in one location that are 25GB in total size. DLO is failing to make the local and network backup of these PST files. I have contacted Symantec support and got told Windows 8.1 is not supported by DLO 7.5 sp1. When I asked why does one client work the response I got was "Its Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I got told Windows 8.1 would be supported by an update but they are unable to say when its due. The support experince was very poor and on a number of oocassion Symantec didn't call at the time requested. Is this a common problem with Windows 8.1? Does anyone know when the update is due? Does anyone know a resolution to this as downgrading the OS is not an option.603Views1like3CommentsSymantec DLO 7.5 not working on Windows 8
Hi, We have an implementation of Symantec DLO with number of Windows 7 and some XP SP3 workstations that works OK. There are two Windows 8 that at first did not permit DLO agent installation, but after enableing Remote Registry Access, DLO agent was successfully installed. The problem is that DLO agent does not work with normal user logged in. If we login as a user that has administrator priviledges, then DLO agent does work and backups are working. We did search the KB and tried uninstall and install (from setup.exe, on local machine). We also tried to manualy enter the user into DLO Administrator. Nothing helps. Any clues?
