Redirecting Restore to a Different Media Server
Hi, I would like to ask if it is possible to change the destination media server for my restore. When I perform a restore, the media server used was the same one that performed the original backup. I am planning to decommission all currently active media servers and use the Master Server as the Media Server as well. How can I change the ownership of the backup image or media to a different media server? Master server Information: NBU Version: 10.3.0.1 OS: Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Standard Thank you in advance.40Views0likes3CommentsReplication target for Storage Server failed
Hello, i have a problem when adding replication target (AIR) for my msdp media storage server. Tried to re-add trusted master server from the other nbu domain (with re-issue token), it all went through successfully, but it didnt help. Still the same issue with storage server. Note: Target Primary and media server are the same , will be used only for replications to our second location. The error log from target master server - spad.log: January 23 10:40:40 ERR [000002AA4DA7CD90]: 25056: sslVerifyCallback: SSL Certification verification error 20: unable to get local issuer certificate(issuer = /CN=nbatd/OU=root@target-master/media-server/O=vx) January 23 10:40:40 ERR [000002AA4DA7CD90]: 25056: _sessionSSLKeySend: SSL initialization failed: could not accept client session[SSL error = 1, errno = 0] January 23 10:40:40 INFO [000002AA4DA7CD90]: nbuapi::SetCAUsageSyncFlag: set cause sync flag January 23 10:40:40 ERR [000002AA4DA7CD90]: 25056: Session start request from nbu-media01.cz.prod:43590 could not be honored (ssl initialization failed) January 23 10:40:40 INFO [000002AA4DA7CD90]: (unknown) Task 48 [thread 000002AA4DA7CD90] for source-media-server:43590 failed with unknown error. Seems like the important part there is: SSL Certification verification error 20: unable to get local issuer certificate and i dont know how to fix it... Could someone help me with any kind of solution or a workaround? Thanks in advance.Solved75Views0likes1CommentReplacing Windows Media Servers with Linux Media Servers
Good Afternoon. I have a customer planning to replace his existing Windows Media Servers with new RHEL servers, and I'm wondering if that will cause issues when trying to use the new Media Server to restore older images. We suggested they keep the windows media servers around for restores, but they are not amenable to that. Is there a way that I can re-assign all primary image ownership from 1 Media Server to another? They are on Netbackup v8 right now but will be upgrading to v9 as a first step. Thank you1.5KViews0likes7Comments
