Veritas NetBackup upgrade Appliance server from 4.0.0.1 to 5.0.3.1 NBDB down
Hello, We are trying to upgrade our primary server (appliance 5240) to 5.0.3.1. The upgrade fail at the step 8 of 9 at the post uprade sefl check. Some services are not starting and the NBDB is down. It seems the migration of the bases from Sybase to PostgreSQL doesn't go well. The folder /usr/open/db/data is missing after the upgrade. Before the upgrade we have installed the UTF8 EEB and no error shown by the readiness analyzer. How can we check the migration from Sybase to PostgrelSQL logs ?Appliance 5250 4.1 unable to activate log forwarding
hello, i tried to activate log forwarding to a syslog server and got the simple error :The server name or IP address is either not valid or not reachable I checked the network (curl & nc) and the flows are open to the destination on port TCP/514 i tried to configure the Log forwarding by CLI with 0 as interval and No for TLS. i searching in log files but don't find any other information to understand what is the problem. Have you an idea ? Thank you.
help for flex 5260 appliance network configuration
Hi @ all could anyone help me with a clear explanation :) we have a new flex appliance 5260 with 3 ethernet 10G cards (dual ports) the goal is to backup 3 different environment in different vLANS virtualisation in 172.16.200.0/23 some servers in 172.17.204.0/24 other servers in 192.168.15.0/24 should master and media instances uses one ip address which be routed to the 3 vLANs or should i configure 3 vlan Tags on the bond before creating the instances and then give the master and media 3 addresses in the these vlans ?if yes, should i use the ip of the media in the hosts file of the clients ? i wish i have well explained and thank you in advance for your help :)))
Flex Instance
creating Instance on Flex is so simple? creating Master on Flex agree , straight forward how's that possible when installed Media to get error on configuration that "domain does not exist" opening the log of the instance one of the log i get is : Configuring NetBackup media server. [2023-04-20 12:28:56] Setting up NetBackup media server ... [2023-04-20 12:28:56] The domain does not exist. and at the end : [2023-04-20 12:29:08] You are not authorized to run this command. [2023-04-20 12:29:08] Command did not complete successfully. [2023-04-20 12:29:08] Setup failed. Check /mnt/nblogs/setup-server.log for details. i appreciate any help that i can get from you guys

Hello All, We need to reconfigure IPMI/prod IP of our already configured 5340 appliance. the device was powered off earlier due to migration within DC and now they have asked to configure new IPs . how can we change the IPMI IP now so that we cna recreate the bond0 for prod use with new IP
COPILOT 214 ERROR
COPILOT was configured and backed up in the master environment, but due to insufficient MSDP capacity, a media appliance was introduced. The media appliance is 5250 and the version is 10.0. A mount point was created in ORACLE CLIENT, the existing mount point was not deleted, and the backup policy performed as the master was disabled. I attempted a backup configured with a media appliance, but 214 ERROR occurred. Any good ideas?Veritas NetBackup error 4748 after upgrading Appliance server to 5.1.1
Hi everyone, I have recently upgraded my Veritas NetBackup Applicance to 5.1.1 I am using Nutanix along with NetBackup.I have encounter issue when I doing backup which give me the Error code:(4748) Unable to retrieve the VM(Java console). I have checked my Virtual Machine Servers credential which is correct. Media Server is using Master server's Certificate which expire at 2069. SSL Certificate is external for webui. Webui have no issue adding Nutanix cluster with the same credential. Will appreciate your help.
