Hello,
in past Backup Exec version we had a option to abort jobs which did run longer than X hours.
This was ideal for aborting a job when the users did not swap the backup media correctly or a backup media not recognized correctly.
Unfortunally we can't find that option anywhere in the user interface.
Can you point me to the location for that setting, or if it's no longer existing to a way to handle such situations.

go to the job properties and find the schedule section.
Where you have recurrence seclected as a radio button is what looks like a traditonal drop down menu - excpet is is not exactly traditional, click the dro down and you will see lots more options appear, including Cancel the job it its is still running n hour after its scheduled start time.
If using full and incremental schedules make sure you enable the setting on all of the schedules within the job definition (scrol down after setting one to find the next drop down)
