Backup Exec sp3 demands sp1 when already installed?

Have a problem. I tries to install sp3 for Backup exec 9.1 but the answer the installer gives me is that sp1 needs to be installed(!?). If I go to look in installed updates I see sp2 installed althou not sp1 but I'am certain that it was installed before sp1.

    Fixed this with the workaround as mentioned by USERS in other threads. You can not install sp1 you get an error.
    The workaround consists of installing hotfix 52 before installing sp3.
