win2008 r2
2 400 LTO drives, 2 identical scsi cards
All Drives work normally on their own.
I have created a Cascaded Drive pool and assigned my job to this pool. When tape 1 fills up, I get prompted to insert another tape in drive 1 instead even though there is an empty tape in drive 2.
Ideas?
If you inventory the tape in the second drive before the job starts, does it appear in blue (overwriteable)
Even if the job starts on tape 1 as Append, the 2nd through whatever are treated as overwrite

Just noticed that your media server is v12.5 and your OS is W2K8 R2
A W2K8 R2 machine requires v2010 at a minimum. V12.5 is only supported on Server 2008, 2003 and 2000
Yes second tape is blue and overwritable.
I will downgrade my server to 2008 and see if this works.
