BE9 Agent Question

 Do you have to have a Remote Agent license in order to backup a standard Windows XP machine (not a server)?

     Hi Jeromy,
     
    As Mark said you need the remote agent installed - but you do not need a license for it as it is only a workstation.

     Yes. Any remote windows resource needs remote agent installed before it will be avalible for backup selection.

    THarry is correct that there are no license requirements for XP but you still need to install the agent software - be aware though that XP is the last workstation version of Windows that does not need a remote agent license in order to do backups - Vista and Windows 7 will need licenses.
