    I was going to email support on this question, but apparently this is the new "email support" option (these forums).
    So, I should be getting some sort of reply from Symantec support?

    Can this be done? Can I move the database from the 2005 Express edition to SQL 2000 Server?

    Hi John:

    No, you cannot. This is how Microsoft designed SQL Express (only can be moved to SQL 2005 Full Installation). Why would you want to move it to a regular SQL Installation anyway? I do not see any benefit to this, especially if this SQL Server is a different machine, because of possible network connection issues.
