Deduplication ratio
Hi there,
On the moment im experiencing with deduplication backups.
I have things setup, and im now running a full backup with unchanged data to my deduplication storage device.
In my log i see something about deduplication ratio and it seems the first and the last backup have a big difference, anyone can explain this to me?
Please ignore the first backup for 512MB its a one time test.

So, the first backup using dedupe will see you get little dedupe, hence the lower ratio.
Every subsequent ratio will see that ratio get better. The more similar data you have, the better the ratio. The less the data changes, the better the ratio is also likely to be.
