Error handling and job retry
I created a single job to backup 20 VMs in Backup Exec 2010 R2
After checking the log, it show the 3 of 20 VMs (i.e 5th, 10th 15th in resource order) failed to backup due to "error: 0xe0009574 - Unable to create a snapshot of the virtual machine. The virtual machine may be too busy to quiesce to take the snapshot."
Now I'm trying to set a "Error-Handling Rules" to retry the backup based on this error code, but I just wonder, this retry option is for the whole job (20 VMs) or failed selections only (5th, 10th, 15th in the selection list)

When you retry the job, it would be for all the VM's, not just the failed VM's.
I think 20 VM's is a little bit too much for one job. You should break the job up to several smaller jobs, so that it is easier to re-run the jobs. Otherwise, just create a one-time job to backup the failed VM's
