Exceptions after backup is performed

I have been working on eliminating some backup exceptions that I have been receiving, from my backup exce package. I have about 29 enties of skipped files that was not backed up.
For example I receive:
E:\bmc7\re7\database\re7.db in use - SKIPPED
E:\bmc7\re7\database\re7.log in use- SKIPPED
E:\veritas\logs\adamm.log in use- SKIPPED

C:\winnt\system32\dchp\tmp.edb in use - SKIPPED
C:\winnt\system32\dns\dns.log in use - SKIPPED
C:\winnt\system32\wins\j50.log in use- SKIPPED

If anyone has seen this or has any ideas on the how I can get these databases backed up or how to stop them from becoming an exception.
Please somebody help, I am working with a deadline.

THANK YOU ALL!!!

  • Hello there,

Files are skipped during backup if the files are left open or in use. It appears from the log you pasted that the files are skipped because they are in use.

In order to backup open files you may opt for the Advanced Open File Option that enables the functionality to backup open files.

    It is a paid option.

For more information on the same, review the following document:
