GRT Enabled backup getting failed on Linux vm.

GRT option is not for Linux Operating Sstem. What I mean is that you can not restore files and folder from AVVI backups for Linux operating system. In case if you want to restore anything for Linux then you will have to restore the complete VMDK.

So its receommended that you backup the Linux VMs in seperate backup job and do not select the GRT option in that job.

Yup.  Currently ONLY NetBackup can do a GRT Linux restore.  BackupExec has not kept pace in this regard.  But the bright side is that BackupExec gets all the cool Windows features before NetBackup does.

You are entitled to RALUS agents as part of AVVI, so you can run traditional agent based backups if you have a requirement for file level recovery, or as Sush mentioned, run a VMDK backup of linux in its own job/policy/selection list

But we tried to see restore it is showing some multiple directories with same name.

we are using centOS.
