If you have access to the sql server than this should be easy for you. I am running sql 2000 on W2KS. If you go into enterprise manager and right-click the database in question and select properties, you will be able to see the database path and the log path (write these down!). Mine showed double backslashes somewhere in the path. Why? I don't know. To get rid of them, right-click the database again, all tasks, detach database (make sure no one is using it). Again, right-click, all tasks, attach database. In this step you will see the paths that will be re-attached. Edit the paths and then click ok to re-attach.
That should be it!
