Hello again, We have an Exchange B2D job that runs everynight for a full backup (along with a tape of course). Recently I attempted to do a restore from the B2D jobs however, only the past 2 days are in the options for Restore. I checked job monitor log and they have all completed successfully. I have already re-inventoried the B2D folder with no avail. Has anyone had this trouble before or know what we may have done wrong? It is not necessarily a huge emergency because we can always restore from tapes. But we have this set up for quick restores and it isn't working for whatever reason. Again please help! Thank you,

I thought that at first too. But the Home Directories B2D has the ability to restore from faaaaar back, whereas Exchange is only 3 days. Exchange B2D OP-3days AP-infinite allow append.............................(I have just set this to 12weeks as a test) however if this is not the problem. What's next? Home B2D OP-1 hour AP-Infinite allow append

seems like the exchange job is not appending, it is overwriting (as you have only 2 days of exchange data and OPP is set to 3 days) Can you change the OPP to infinte: do no allow overwrite and run exchange backup job and check what happens. OR you may also change the property of the exchange job to append to media, terminate if no appendable media is available. check if the job runs with no issues or it gets terminated. Regards, tech29

Hi There,

What media set are you using for this backup to b2d job? check the properties of that media set and let me know what values you have set for Overwrite protection period (OPP) and AP(Append period).

The b2d files are might be getting overwritten if OPP and AP are not set correctly.

When you do your restore selection, make sure that your date range is big enough to cover 3 days. See below

@pkh - We always leave that wide open so that we don't miss anything.

Interestingly enough, when I went to check the restore today, they were all there. I don't know what the problem was but thank you for the assitance.
