restoring after hard drive crash

Do I have to reinstall the server software before I can start restoring from tape or can I install just xp and veritas and restore from tape? If I have to reinstall small buisness its 4 hours. Looking for a short cut. any help is appreciated

    Hi,

    You will have to install Backup Exec first.

    Inventory and catalog the tape and then run a restore job.
