shadow copy backup
Why would i want to backup the shadow copy of a server? I have not done so in the past, and want to know what benefit is gained. I do not have unlimited capacity to backup data, so i must be selective on what goes to tape.

- Shadow Copy Components contains things like critical Windows files, and Active Directory data.You need them if you want to be able to do a disaster recovery of the protected server. If you are just backing up data and not the system, then you don't need them.
