Storage problem: Ready; Invalid storage device

There are 3 BE2012 servers: one management and two media servers.

At first, I upgrade menegement to BE2014.
And get problems with backup job on media server's storages. There was status:"Ready; Invalid storage device".
On the upgraded management server jobs worked succesfull if they backed up to management server's storage.

And if i go to Backup Definition Properties and then to Backup Options, and then to Storage, I can't select storages of media servers.
There are only: Any disk storage and Any virtual disk storage. No one servers:

Haw can I select any media server's storage?
I try to create new job, but there are only management stprage appear, not media server's storages.

And then, i upgraded one media server to 2014, but problems with "Ready; Invalid storage device" not disappeared.

I guess, this is problems on management server.

    I found the answer!
    After upgrading, backup exec server become Standalone server.
    I see it, typing in Powershell: Get-BECentralAdministrationBackupExecServer 
    and get this:
    Get-BECentralAdministrationBackupExecServer : This Cmdlet can only be executed
    on a Backup Exec server of type 'CentralAdministration'.
    At line:1 char:1
    + Get-BECentralAdministrationBackupExecServer
    + ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    and commanlet  Get-BEStandaloneBackupExecServer return right answer.

    But in storage tab there was all managed server with error in topic.

    I reinstall this server in CASO mode and all works fine!!!

    one of them - BE2014
    other MMS is still BE 2012(I can't reboot server yet).
     

    It is necessary to upgrade all MMS at once?
    I thought that one of them enough to work with storage on upgraded MMS.

    Did you go to the properties of the disk storage and enable them to be shared?

    ...that could explain it to be honest. You have to upgrade your CAS server first, but you need to upgrade your MMS servers as soon as possible.

    Your current situation might be explained by the different versions, and the configuration as it stands now is supported only for rolling upgrades. Symantec make no mention of guaranteeing that things will work as per normal with different versions of BE in a CASO environment.

    Where can I enable them?

    Storage tab -> two click on storage name --> Properties : there are no share settings.

    Configuration and Settings --> Backup Exec Settings --> Storage tab: same.

    ...it has been a requirement for most, if not all, versions of BE. Unfortunately it isn't something a lot of people know as it is buried away in the SCL, and unless you are aware of where it is, you won't simply come across it.

    upgrade all MMS.

    nothing change. 

    and what can I do? select another vendor for backup?

    ...upgrading an MMS and it becomes stand-alone? That's not right...the process is:

    1. Upgrade CASO...

    2. Upgrade MMS

    I've done this a number of times and the only time an MMS has become a stand-alone server during the upgrade has been when I did this manually because of connectivity issues.

    Weird one...
