System backup failure

Hi All,

I am doing GRT backup of System state on DC.

But now job started failing with the error Active directory db was not found.

I am really clueless here. can anyone help me on this.

  • Hi,

Recently i expereinced the same issue & after a long try i resolved the same.

This failure is due to the account being used to initiate the backup not having the appropriate level of permissions or rights.

The wrong Logon account is specified in the Backup job or the logon account being used does not have proper rights and permission to backup Active Directory.

plz confirm the proper logon account is being used to perform the System State Backup.

Request you to refer the below article for more details.

  • Make sure you are using a Domain Admin account when you are backing up AD.
