Unable to install BE 2014 agent

We have upgraded to BE 2014 and SP1 and are unable to install the latest agents.  The backups still run but they complain about the agent being out of date.

When we attempt to push the agent it reports success but doesn't actually do anything.  When we attempt to install the agent locally we get the below error.

We have uninstalled the previous agent and deleted all old BE agent folders.

Any help would be appreciated.

    Check the TN below, although it's strange you're getting an SQL error during a RAWS agent install:

    If you're running an AV, stop and disable it and try the installation again.

    ...have you made sure that all traces of the RAWS agent from the registry are gone? Just do a search (don't delete anything unless you're sure) and see what it comes up with.

    Are you also copying the correct folders for the RAWS installation across?

    OK - pkh has moved things along.  Including VCRedist folder seems to be the key to getting past the SQL error.  Now the actual agent install fails with the following

    It could be that there are things left over from the previous failed installs.  You might want to log a support case for Symantec to look at this problem.  If you do, do report the status of your case on this forum.

    Hi TheSkymanDC,

    I'm having the same problem installing the agent to a Win2K3 server. It's throwing the same SQ Express error. I've also copied the RAWS32 folder from the media server, and set up the VCREDIST folder, as the other KB articles suggest and I am still getting the same problems, including the weird SQL Express error.

     

    Did you manage to get this resolved in the end, with Symantec support?
