Veritas Backup Exec and exchange

What version of Backup Exec and what version of Exchange
- if you are using any of the older versions that did not support GRT  (so doing Brick Level mailbox backups) then strongly suggest upgrading.
- if you are using the newer versions of Backup Exec but still using Brick Level Backups then enable GRT and stop doing Brick Level Backups.

And no the Media server is different from the Exchange server.

Otherwise, please tell at what moment the backup stops and at what state.

 The backup runs, but never closes out.  So it will back up 50 mailboxes,  but when it is done with the last mailbox it gets stuck in the "views" folder of that user and never closes.

if you cancle it, the computer just sits.  The only way to stop the job is by stopping all of the services.  Then the job will force fail, and report that no data was backed up.

 It is a 10 tape autoloader.  Doesn't make sence.  but let me read

 It's about all alerts, the main troubling alert is the tape eject prompt, but others can finally fill up your alert log also. You might want to give it a try.
