Wiederherstellung virtueller Maschinen

mich würde es interessieren warum es bei Symantec noch immer nicht die Möglichkeit gibt, virtuelle Maschinen aus dem Backup anzustarten um sie in sekundenschnelle wiederherzustellen wie es ...
...because nobody else has this ability. Veeam's Instant Recovery is magic! Really is, and also a registered trademark.
CommVault are apparently bringing something out, but companies like Symantec will never publish a roadmap on what they're doing. Best bet is to head on over to the Ideas section and add that in as an idea.

Actually, even Netbackup also has the Instant Recovery for VM's feature, but not Backup Exec as of yet. This feature works by mounting the backup image directly to the host & afaik, BE doesn't do this as of yet is due to the way it writes and stores the backup images.
