  • oh yes i was missing this step, and now installation works

i am also watching PD Storage pool guide and it is also mentioned there , but i have missed it

    Completing a Manual installation
The following procedure explains how to complete a Manual installation.
    To complete Manual installation
1 Type commands to mount the CD-ROM.
    For example:
    # mkdir /cdrom
    # mount /dev/cdrom /cdrom
On a few hardware platforms, the CD ROM device /dev/cdrom is not
available by default. If you cannot find /dev/cdrom, refer to the following
    section:
“Troubleshooting the cdrom device” on page 222
2 Type the following command to run the post-installation script.
    # sh /cdrom/pdextras/pdos-postinstall.sh
This command might return some VxVM startup failure messages. You can
    disregard them.
3 Unmount and eject the CD-ROM.
    For example:
    # umount /cdrom
    # eject
4 Remove the PDOS disk from the CD-ROM drive.
5 Proceed to the following section:
“Verifying the installation” on page 76
( taken from PD6.5 Storagepool install guide page no.75)
