PureDisk Agent for Windows uninstallation fails.
Hi all, I have a customer with a Win2003 64 bits server which has PDagent 6.6.x installed, Trying to uninstall it, using remove programs from Control Panel, it asks for the .msi package. It refers to a users folder which does not exist anymore. So, question is: What can I do to remove PD agent? I want to install NBU 7.6.x.x to use Client-Side dedupe instead. Hi I am in th process of removing the tape backups from my enivroment. I backup 12tbon a single month end. Iam planning to put in 250tb ofdisk in aPuredisk pool. I run 7.6.1 on a 2012r2 server. I am not clear if i will be able to use the full 250tb for aPuredisk pool, as you can only have onePuredisk pool per server this may make my 250tb a bit overkill. Puredisk server Catalog restore
So let's say I have a local master server "master1" and a local media server "media1" and a remote media server (DR) "remotemedia1". I currently have both "media1" and "remotemedia1" set up as puredisk server with MSDP. So when I do catalog backup, I have my 1st copy backup to "media1" then duplicate to "remotemedia1". Now, let's say my local environment has been completely destroyed - so we need a DR ! ** 1st thing I do is def rebuilding my master server. Now I will have to connect "master1" to "remotemedia1" .... since master1 is newly rebuilt, the previous relationship was broken. Does anyone know how I can reestablish this so I can do Catalog restore from the puredisk pool of remotemedia1? Any reference is appreciated. thanks!!Solved3.3KViews0likes1Commentpostgresql corrupted

Hi All, Trying to configure deduplication in a multi netbackup environment but getting error media write error 84( Optimised duplication not supported when source and target server are the same) Dont know what i m doing wrong..Below is the environment.. 1-Two netbackup server's both are configured as master and media server..both having different MSDP configured.. 2-if i removed the deduplication and configured replication only then it works fine, but whenever deduplication is configuring getting error media write error 84.. 3-Attaching the snapshot of SLP..I think i m not able to configured target server in SLP..i read lot of docs but nothing works Thanks in advance..Solved3.4KViews1like1Comment
System state failures in pure disk
Hello All, it was windows 2008 r1 Client backup is failing with system state(completing with 64%), and getting below errors. Error: 2: resource child process: snapshot required but there is nothing to snap: no such object Error: 2: name process: unable to process 'Shadow?Copy?Components': no such object troubleshooting steps: We have been checked all writers are in stable state, But still backup is failing with system state error. crcontrol command details
Hello All. We have a backup solution based on two W2008R2 servers running NetBackup 7.0.1 with MSDP feature. We have a critical mistake in build (wrong drive used for MSDP DB) and we are looking the way to sort it out. Symantec support denied us. crcontrol command has three keys that could help us to backup this DB, reconfigure CR and restore DB to correct drive. But there is no info in --help about those keys (PSB). Checked deduplication/NetBackup commands manuals - no luck. Could somebody provide a manual which describes those keys? Thank you in advance.
