BMR Restore problem.

Hello All,

I have another interesting case, if anyone knows anything about BMR restores to windows this ones for you. :)

The BMR restore completes, then reboots as it should, but afterwards the registry entries for the NIC cards are incorrect.

If a normal client restore of the same backup image is run (after the NIC cards are fixed) and then rebooted, everything is good.

As always, any suggestions welcomed with open arms.

Regards,

Pat

  • Are you restoring to dissimilar target or onto the same origianl machine using BMR?

Are you restoring the client using its CURRENT configuration or a copy made out of it is been used to do prepare-to-restore?

NetBackup master, client versions? And NB client version installed in BMR SRT?

    Thanks.

  • Hi Mandar,

Thank you for the reply. This is a test environment so it is being restored to the same machine that was backed up. We use a copy of current as the current as an errant volume that causes the restore to fail.

We think we have a solution, but have not had a chance to test it yet.
