client getting status 46 server not allowed access

I have a vmware cluster running 2 Windows 2008 guest servers.  I am trying to backup the windows 2008 guest through a windows client but I keep getting status 46 server not allowed access.  The first ...

    Create the bpcd directory on the client in [install_path]\Netbackup\logs. attempt same operation and inspect the bpcd log for lines containing <16> or <32>.

    I have seen the same error, and it turned out to be a DNS error. bpcd could not resolve the names on the server list. Check for DNS timeouts on the client side.


    Severity:

    1 = Unknown
    2 = Debug
    4 = Info
    8 = Warning
    16 = Error
    32 = Critical

Do you have bpcd log on clientA?
If not, create one and rerun bptestbpcd.
Check bpcd log to see if client can resolve IP address of incoming connection request.
Check difference in log between successful and failed attempt.
Add local hosts entries on clients to bypass possible DNS problems.
