hyper-v backup process flow

Question

Hi&nbsp;

My setup is as below

NBU 7.6.0.2&nbsp;

Windows 2012 R2 across NBU servers and Hyper-V/VMs

&nbsp;

I would like to understand the process flow involved in backing up a VM using the hyper-v snapshot method. Is there any document I can refer to ?

I found a blog by Abdul Rasheed but that seems to focus on Vmware.

I would have thought that figure 8-1 on page 136 of the&nbsp;NetBackup 7.7.2 Logging Reference Guide​:

...is accurate, because a Hyper-V backup of a virtual machine is essentially a backup of some .VHD(X)&nbsp;files from the Hyper-V host.
