Multiplexing and Multiple Data Streams is affects Dedup???

That statemen is true if you use Virtual Tape drives with a deduplication backend like Data Domain.

If you take a look at the STU configuration for disk there is no MPX field.

If it's a normal VTL without deduplication it does not matter.

If it is is with deduplication feature you need to set MPX to 1 (disabled) and then configure a lot of virtual tape drives to "compensate" for the missing MPX.

e.g if you have 1 tape drive with MPX set 5 - in a VTL environment you need to configure 5 virtual drives with MPX disabled.

VTL Fujitsu CS800

dedup is working on Fujitsu CS800.
