Nbdeployutil

Hi NBU Experts,

Is it okay to run the nbudeployutil "capacity" in environment where the existing license is traditional?

When we try to run the traditional it is successful, but once we run the capacity, the gather will fail.

NOTE: all the needed info are correct (even the all caps for WINDOWS in the domain type)

Followed this link also  - NetBackup 'nbdeployutil --gather' fails. "Unable to gather information for the following masters:" (veritas.com)

    Hi leandro_dalit 

    Also - you may find that there is a report available that is automatically genberated weekly. Look in the directory <INSTALLPATH>\NetBackup\var\global\incremental - you should find a capacity report in there. 

    This doesn't solve your problem, but should priovide a report you can use.

    Hi leandro_dalit 

    The licensing model you are using does not affect nbdeployutil. So you should be able to report using either capacity or traditional. 

    Can you provide more information on the error during the gather? In the directory where it collects the informtion there should eb a log file called something like  nbdeployutil-gather-capacity-YYYYMMDD_HHmmss.log (under <INSTALLPATH>\NetBAckup\var\global\reports\YYYYMMDD_HHmmss_<master_server>

    This should give clues as to the error.
