NDMP Backup of EMC Celerra file
Hi all, I am atempting to do a backup an NFS share on the EMC Celerra. I have created NDMP user on the Celerra and tested to ensure that it was working fine by ftp'ing from the Control Station to the data mover.
When I attempt to setup New NDMP host on the Netbackup application using the ndmp credientials that I had just created I get the following error.
'Validation of the Credientials failed. Either the media servers could not be reached or the credientials are invalid. Valid credientials are required for backups to succeed.'
Communication between the Celerra and the netbackup server goes over the secondary interface on the netbackup server.
I have performed a snoop on the netbackup server and I can see communication between both but not much more info but I have it attached here.
Thanks!
Just to be sure - the user name must be ndmp, not NDMP. Hopefully this is what you have done?
To add credentials from cmd on media server, you can use this command:
tpconfig -add -nh <celerra_host> -user_id ndmp -password <password>
To test/verify comms, use this command:
tpautoconf -verify <celerra_host>
