- This is the beauty and problem with encryption - if neither the person nor the documentation can be found, there is absolutely no way that anyone can help you.
You won't be able to retrive the key. The key should have been written down and saved in safe place.

I recommend you switch to Netbackup KMS Tape drive envryption with you have LTO4 and newer.
It is really easy to do, and transperant to the rest of NBU operation
