NetBackup client Installation on Solaris 10

Hi All,

Can some one suggest me how to install NetBackup client 7.1 software on the Solaris 10 machine.

Would appriciate installation steps in detail.

Thanks in advance,

Sam

  • Hello,

Actually the steps are pretty basic and outlined on page 115 of the Symantec 7.1 NetBackup Installation Guide for UNIX and Linux (DOC3647)

If you have downloaded the software and are installing locally then refer to the section on page 119 that talks about ESD images. You will run ./install and follow the prompts for infomation about your NetBackup environment and when finished your client is setup. Configure a policy to back it up.
