Trusted Master Servers

I am curious if there is a way to see what credentials were used to setup a trusted master server. I am in a situation where I have taken over an existing setup in which NOBODY from the previous team was left behind to learn anything about the environment from. I have built out a new site at a new remote location and would like to add a trusted master server, but I dont know how the previous two were setup or if I should just use root and move on.

  • The credentials will be root and the root password if the master is UNIX

  • I assume when you say trusted you mean Netbackup Access Control enabled master server.

I would recommend enabled NBAC when you build it bceause you whill know how it works before production prevebt the possibility to play around.

However NBAC can be enabled or disabled after installation. Its not a point of no return.

However of you planing on clustered master server, that is a dessision you have to take before you start installing.
