ShafNyou need to provide some more data about your environment and the issue at hand. Without that it will take much longer to troubleshoot/suggest anything.
E.g. Detailed log of backup job, details about the backup policy using bppllist <policyname> -L , VM details (total data, snapshots size/number, etc.)

Hi ShafN,
As X2 as pointed out, please provide as much information as possible. I would add to his list with the following additional info:
OS version of Master and Media server, NetBackup version of Media server, OS version of problem VM clients (and NetBackup client version if you have installed the client on the VM's), VMware/ESX version.
Two things that spring to mind without knowing more are:
- Are these problem VM's Windows Server 2012 with Windows deduplication enabled on some or all of the filesystems? If so, the data will be rehydrated when they are backed up.
- It's possible the change block tracking (CBT) is screwed up. I wouldn't expect this to increase the size that dramatically, but I have seen much stranger things.
Hope this helps,
Steve
