There were some bugs in early versions around this - can't spot the tech note immediately but it was fixed

I would reccomend going to 7.1.0.4 all round as it should be resolved - will try and locate the tech note

May be this one - fixed in 7.1.0.1 for the client:

Hope this helps - still advise 7.1.0.4 all round though

still facing the same error after installing the HOT fix [ NB_7.1_ET2256525_2 is a NetBackup Hotfix for Windows Clients ]

Check the VSS writers then (vssadmin list writers) on the client in case they have an issue

It is real of virtual - any apps on it (SQL / Exchange / AD)?

VSS is stable.........

SQL was there

physical or virtual?

physical server

After restarting the machine also facing same error..........

Is this client is member of cluster?

Have you set up this host by OS clean install, or used some third-party backup/deployment tool?

Turn onbpbkar debug logging, and see if this doc is applicable.
