PGP Univesal Server 3.1 - error java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space


Hello all,

trying to login to the web GUI of our PGP Universal server 3.1  https://key.dominio.com:9000 e​vent I only get the  following message :

 

error java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space


  Universal access the Server displays the following error.

HTTP Status 500 -

root cause

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space

  • When processing a message, I'm pretty sure PGP Universal Server uses the from field of the mail envelope (not the header) to determine which email address to associate with the sender's key. I don't think either From, To or Date are mandatory, so I would consider this to be a bug that might possibly stop legitimate mail.

    The gateway MUST ensure that all header fields of a message that it
    forwards into the Internet mail environment meet the requirements for
    Internet mail. In particular, all addresses in "From:", "To:",
    "Cc:", etc., fields MUST be transformed (if necessary) to satisfy RFC
    822 syntax, MUST reference only fully-qualified domain names, and
    MUST be effective and useful for sending replies.
