Standalone use of Symantec GSS

Hi,

I currently have 3 PC's running windows XP which are not on a network (they are locally connected to machinery). Can I use GSS to back up each to a USB external drive. I won't be able to connect to the web for any GSS updates etc nor will be able to connect to any central console.
