    "Backing up files and folders" is a function of individual files and folders. However, Admin guide Page 168 says like below.

    Note: The file and folder backup is intended for less than 10,000 files. If the data
    to be backed up exceeds this amount, Veritas strongly recommends to use the
    drive-based backup
    ===================

    Admin guide says that less than 10,000 files but I actually recommend it should be less than 1,000 files.
    It is because the backup performance for "Backing up files and folders" is very slow due to the file version management and incremental / encryption functions. To back up entire volume, we strongly recommend the drive-based backup.

    In addition, VSR does not have a feature to report the backed up file list like Backup Exec even if it is "Backing up files and folders". If the customer gives up the reporting function, VSR (drive-based backup) is fast and a good solution.
