Issue with Veritas System Recovery 22 and Windows Server, see my Description

Hi,

I have a Windows Server 2022 and install Veritas System Recovery 22 on it. We have some users that can connect per Remote Desktop to that Windows Server.

Every Time if the user log in on it, getting the following message:

"The current user 'DOMAINNAME\USERNAME' has read-only privileges and cannot make administrative changes.
Would you like to add privileges for full control? Click No to continue in read-only mode."

Is there any way to disable it or hide it for all the users?

Regards

  • Sure you can set the permissions on the registry key HKLM\Software\Veritas\Veritas System Recovery\SecurityInfo

The popup message appears when automatically launching VSR console after logging on.
My workaround is a setting not to automatically launch it.

      On the other hand,
Another workaround is to give Users group a full control permission for HKLM\Software\Veritas\Veritas System Recovery\SecurityInfo. Full control for all users are able to be given after changing the permission.
