AOFO initialization error (Microsoft VSS error)
Hello,
a customer of mine is experiencing this error since 4 days:
AOFO: Initialization failure on: "Shadow?Copy?Components". Advanced Open File Option used: Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).
VSS Snapshot error. A Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) snapshot is already running on the target computer. Only one snapshot can run at a time. Try running the job later.
Final error: 0x80042316 - 0x80042316 (2147754774)
The server is a node of a Microsoft cluster; the cluster is active/passive and this is the stand by node.
Both nodes have been restarted and since then the problem appeared. No software or hardware were made before or after the reboot.
The backup job includes many other servers and none of them have problems (nor the active node of the cluster). Although this server has no database online (being a stand by node) before the reboot the backup job never showed any problem.
I searched the Veritas knowledgebase but nothing showed up to be useful.
Can anyone help me solve this issue?
