- shweta_regeLevel 6Hello,
Do you get any error or any events in the event logs?
What are the media set properties set?
what is the overwrite protection period set?
Set your jobs to 'overwrite if there is no appendable media available'
For the following refer the following document

Thank You. - Thomas_BiancoLevel 5append time is the time AFTER THE BACKUP where a new backup job can append data. this is kinda counterintuitive.
an example:
let's assume your media set is append=2 days and overwrite=4 days
a media is used in a backup at 10 pm Monday and runs for 2 hours.
tuesdays backup at 10 pm will append to the same media.
wensday's will use it if it starts before 9:59:59 pm (2 days after the START of the job).
after that, it will not be overwritable until friday at midnight (4 days after the END of the job)
i hope this clears up your issue. - Christopher_H3Level 3Do you get any error or any events in the event logs? - Nope
What are the media set properties set? - Overwrite protection is 2 Days, with Infinate allow append
what is the overwrite protection period set? 2 days
Set your jobs to 'overwrite if there is no appendable media available' - Already is - Ken_PutnamLevel 6Is it possible that the tape(s) is/are filling up?
BackupExec will mark a full tape as not appendable, regardless of the media set APP settings, since there is no room on the tape to add more data.
