Turning on or off the backing up of Shadown Copy Files

It is so hard to research everything anymore. I needed to just post this question here.

 

On a windows 2003 server, If we are keeping several days of shadow copies of everyone's documents - are those shadow copies getting backed up in the nightly backup exec. If so - where is that option? - because we don't really need to backup the shadow copy files. It is probably an extra 20 GB that does not need to be backed up every night. Or is this just built into the System state backup somewhere ?
