does the SQL agent backup DTS packages?
we are looking into purchasing the SQL agent for BE10d... does the agent back up DTS packages/scheduled jobs, etc, or JUST the databases???

- Depends on what you backup. As long as you also backup all the system databases, eg master, msdb etc then that will include all of those things since the information relating to them is stored within them.
