the email only mentioned that the file that was emailed is present plus the media for the other clients. so i also need the "/opt/NBU_DR_FILES/" folder contents to recover?

That is the Storage Unit used for the catalog backup.
Check your Catalog Backup Policy.
I seem to remember that you have some dedupe in your environment...
Is this where your catalogs are being backed up to?
Not a good idea - how will you get to that in case of a real disaster?
There are TNs with steps to recover catalogs from OST or dedupe storage, but this is lengthy and messy. And not available at a DR site...
Always best to backup catalogs to Basic Disk or tape - something that can be transported to a DR site and easy to present and configure.
