Running the latest 10.x agent and the firewall settings have been double checked etc. The error is: AOFO: Initialization failure on: "\\90MINUTE\C:". Advanced Open File Option used: Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS). VSS Snapshot error. The Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) snapshot provider that you selected cannot snap this volume. Select the default snapshot provider, and then run the job again. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Nathan Cannot select drive to backupHi, I am running Backup Exec 10.0 rev 5520 to backup 25 odd windows servers. We are having a few issues but I will cover one per post. I just tired adding a new server to BE, doing exactly the same as usual. The problem is although I can see the server name in the selection list, and expand it to see the C$ share, there is not 'C drive' and 'Shadow Copy Components' selection which I would expect to see. Because we do not use user shares on any system this is not enabled in BE therefore nothing can be selected. The is no error being shown - I just cannot select anything to backup. The client machine in this case is running the latest version of the agent and the firewall is configured correctly (the media server can talk to it etc). File & Print sharing is also configured as usual. From what I can tell it is not a network communications issue, and nothing suggests that it is although I'm not ruling anything out at this point in time. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Nathan
